A principios de mes se anunciaron las nominaciones a los Satellite Awards, los premios que otorga cada año la Academia de Prensa Internacional.
La gran triunfadora de la noche ha sido Dexter, la serie del canal Showtime ha logrado hacerse con los premios a mejor drama, mejor actor de serie dramática (Michael C. Hall) y mejor actor secundario (Davis Zayas). Además, la serie del psicópata favorito de América, también ha ganado el premio al mejor lanzamiento en dvd de una serie de televisión.
Otra triunfadora ha sido la comedia de la ABC Ugly Betty, que aunque no ha conseguido imponerse a Pushing daisies como mejor serie de comedia, ha logrado colocar a America Ferrara y Vanessa Williams como mejor actriz de comedia y mejor actriz secundaria respectivamente.
